Oh snacks. I find during some seasons of life they are necessary for me during the day so I don't get HANGRY. But it's also important for me to fuel my body with good-for-me snacks, otherwise they leave me reaching for more and more snacks that are probably higher in sugar and leave my blood sugar levels all over the place.
Finding the right snack has been something I've had to play with. Some foods that I feel are healthy just don't work well with my body and instead of filling me up, keep me feeling hungry. I've found snacks that are higher in protein and fiber fill me up faster and keep me satisfied longer.
Some of my go-to's have been:
-Apple drizzled with nut butter
-Veggies with dip (maybe yogurt based dip?)
-Chips that are made from beans/veggies
-Yogurt with strawberries
-Protein shake with fruit and veggies added
